Beijing Sugar-Coated Berry, Nanjing Fragrant Belly, Inner Mongolia Horse Milk Wine ...... From now on, the 17th China Food Expo and Trade Fair held a banquet in Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center, with more than a thousand booths to offer more than 10,000 kinds of green and characteristic agricultural products to the public for a period of 5 days.

Yesterday, when the reporter asked about the exhibition in advance, he found that the egg products enterprises in the exhibition hall attracted the most attention last year. This year, except for a small egg products enterprise in Hubei, large egg products enterprises such as Shendan and Shendi were absent from the food fair for the first time. Relevant officials of Shendan and Shendai said that the absence was due to the lack of a suitable booth and had nothing to do with the melamine incident. At present, egg product sales have returned to normal levels.

God Dan, God's absence because of the need to cut back on spending?

Compared with the previous food fair, this exhibition of large egg products enterprises are basically absent. Yesterday afternoon, major enterprises were busy setting up the exhibition, and the reporter turned around the venue for more than an hour, but there were no large local egg products enterprises such as Shendan and Shendi.

Last year, in the exhibition hall, Shendan and Shendi, two large local egg products enterprises, occupied the best positions and shouted hard at the meeting. At that time, they became the most watched enterprises at the exhibition. It is reported that Shenplace Company sold eggs worth more than 50000 yuan in three days. This year, the central hall has been occupied by meat products enterprises, and the reporter only found a small local egg products enterprise in the corner of the second floor.

A person from the organizing committee said that there were indeed no large-scale egg product companies participating in this year's Food Expo. "They signed up too late, and there are no good booths, and they are not willing to give in." The person said that this year's melamine incident has affected their sales, and companies may have to cut back on spending.

Not participating in the exhibition has nothing to do with the melamine incident.

"Not participating in the exhibition has nothing to do with the melamine incident." Yesterday, the reporter contacted Yang Yan, chairman of Shendi Farmers Co., Ltd., who was on a business trip in Beijing. He said that he did not participate in the exhibition. First, he had just participated in the Beijing exhibition some time ago, and the time was too late; second, he could not book a good booth and did not want to go to the corner.

Yang Yan said that the melamine incident had a great impact on the company, but the promotional activities some time ago were very effective. At present, egg sales have increased by about 10% compared with before the incident.

"We are the most loyal participants in the Food Expo." Zhang Zengwen, marketing director of Shendan Company, said that since the first food fair, Shendan has participated in more than 10 consecutive sessions and has never been absent. Shendan can be said to have made a success of the food fair. Last year, enterprises participated in the exhibition, which has upgraded from simply selling products to displaying corporate image.

Zhang explained that the absence was mainly due to not booking a suitable booth. At the same time, the end of the year was the peak season for egg sales. The Spring Festival was one month ahead of schedule. Enterprises were busy with marketing activities and could not be busy. In addition, with the arrival of the egg consumption season, the company's sales have returned to normal.

Exhibitors outside the province accounted for 70%

Food Expo is becoming more and more "outgoing"

At this year's exhibition, food from all over the world gathered together. It is worth mentioning that Ya'an City, the earthquake-stricken area, also sent 13 companies, who brought Mao pear wine, tea and other products to the exhibition; Beijing organized more than 10 companies to participate in groups, such as Huiyuan, Yanjing Beer, Beijing Shuangda, etc.

It is reported that only 30% of the exhibitors in the province this year, and seven of them have become exhibitors outside the province. According to industry insiders, from the small warehouse at the port terminal to the current International Convention and Exhibition Center, from a few exhibitors to today, it has attracted the attention of global businesses. The Food Expo has been upgraded to a "national brand" and is becoming more and more "extroverted".

In addition to domestic food, international food also joined the exhibition, such as imported chocolate, beer and so on. It is understood that this year's international food is three times that of previous years.

The trivia

The exhibition has not yet opened, and citizens have come to buy it.

Although the Food Expo officially "entertained" the citizens today, many impatient citizens rushed to the Convention and Exhibition Center yesterday afternoon to buy the products they need.

Yesterday, local specialties were placed early in the dry and fresh goods area, including old Chengdu handmade sugar, Yunnan ganoderma lucidum lobster sauce, Xinjiang steamed food and other foods. In front of the Yunnan specialty cabbage bag bean curd booth, citizens are queuing to buy. Seeing this situation, many manufacturers simply solicited business in advance. A kilo of Tibetan yak meat from 68 yuan was sold to 45 yuan in a bargain.

The reporter saw at the scene that there were many people who made new year's goods in advance, and food such as sausage, bacon and dried fish were deeply loved by the public.
