At the poultry production and marketing situation symposium hosted by the Hubei Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau on April 16, the director of the National Egg Processing Technology Research and Development Sub-center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the deputy dean of the School of Food Science and Technology of Huazhong Agricultural University, and the doctoral supervisor Professor Ma Meihu "Old tune", vigorously promote the consumption of clean eggs and cold fresh poultry meat, and call on citizens to develop a correct and safe poultry consumption concept.
Most small and medium-sized egg production enterprises do not have egg cleaning and disinfection equipment. After the eggs are discharged from the reproductive holes of poultry, they are directly packaged and listed without cleaning and disinfection. They are veritable "dirty eggs".
The surface of "dirty eggs" is usually stained with chicken manure, feathers, feed powder and other dirt, which is very likely to be the carrier of avian influenza, Salmonella, Escherichia coli and other pathogens. Studies have shown that the number of bacteria on the surface of each shell of commercially available fresh eggs is 14.23 million.
Liu Huaqiao, chairman of Hubei Shendan Health Food Co., Ltd., China's largest cleaning egg manufacturer, introduced that since the outbreak of human infection with H7N9 avian influenza, the sales performance of Shendan Company has risen instead of falling, and the sales of cleaning eggs have quadrupled than usual. Liu Huaqiao believes that with the further improvement of the quality of life, within 3 years, the consumption of cleaning eggs will become the basic safety consumption knowledge of families and enter thousands of households!
