Xiantao City alone has more than 200 egg processing companies, and has formed multiple egg processing bases in Anlu, Xiantao, Honghu, etc. "Jiuzhu", "Shenhu" and many other well-known egg brands have emerged as large-scale enterprises such as Hubei Shendan and Jiuzhu Egg Industry. In particular, Hubei Shendan Group Company has now developed into the largest egg processing enterprise in the country. It currently has nearly 50 employees and annual production, processing and sales of 350 million eggs of various types, driving more than 1,500 professional farming households. The company's products have entered more than 3,000 supermarket chains such as Carrefour, Metro, Wal-Mart and exported to Japan, the United States, Russia, Australia and other countries.

It is estimated that the province's annual demand for newly added duck eggs is more than 200 million, of which the annual demand increase of Hubei Shendan is more than 60 million. 　　2. The source of Gaoyou Salted Eggs is Hubei.

　　Our province's duck eggs have natural red hearts and good quality, and are very popular among egg companies in other provinces. According to Zhang Haichao, a large duck egg supply household in Fengkou Town, Honghu, he supplies about 750,000 kilograms of duck eggs each year, mainly sold to Jiangsu, Guangdong, Sichuan and Northeast China. Bai Zhongxin, the owner of Honghu Lantian Egg Products Company, has been engaged in egg processing for 26 years. He said that before the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival, egg processing and moon cake production companies across the country rushed to Hubei to buy duck eggs, especially the large egg products in Gaoyou, Jiangsu. Almost all processing companies have acquisition points in Hubei. 80% of the raw duck eggs used for egg processing come from Hubei. Even many egg processing masters are also Hubei people.

　　Researcher Li Zhaoguo of the Provincial Animal Husbandry Bureau believes that there are few provinces in the country like our province where water resources are suitable for natural grazing and raising ducks, which objectively causes various merchants to gather in Hubei to snap up high-quality red heart duck eggs.

　　3. Rich profits.

　　According to statistics, last year there were 20 million caged ducks in our province, of which about 13 million were ducks, and a total of about 2.2 billion high-quality red duck eggs were produced. Among them, about 1.2 billion eggs were processed by egg processing enterprises in our province, and about 800 million were purchased by other provinces. The farmers produce and sell about 200 million pieces. The hot demand makes our province's source of red hearts sell more than production, and the price of goods is tight.

　　The reporter found in the investigation that the egg price was 2.4 yuan at the end of April this year, and the price of the red heart duck egg had reached more than 3.8 yuan, and the price difference was as high as 1.4 yuan. This has brought huge profits to the duck farmers. According to experts, the profit of a laying duck last year was about 20 yuan, but this year it may exceed 30 yuan. Based on the average family raising 3,000 to 5,000 ducks, the income is considerable.

　　The first is that the government should attach importance to support. Duck farming is a typical grass-rooted economy in our province, and it is self-sustaining. It basically has no special policy funds to support it. In this regard, we can learn from the experience of Jiangxi and Jiangsu and increase government support. As early as the 1990s, the Jiangxi Provincial Government spent 170 million yuan to implement the "Goose and Duck Project", prompting Jiangxi to rapidly develop into the country's largest duck egg province (mainly captive egg ducks). In Jiangsu province, the government sets up a stage for the “Duck Egg Festival” before the Dragon Boat Festival every year, which effectively enhances the popularity of local brands.
